If you want a local favorite then go to SamBs because Easystreet Cafe has long waits and tends to mess up orders frequently. They do have fresh cut fries but if you like them soggy then this place is for you. The have buffalo burgers which is unique but its just a novelty. Never get the rueben it is awful! Excellent selection on alcohol but thats about it.

Great experience at Easy Street. Super waitress (We wish we remembered her name), fast service albeit we arrived prior to 6pm, the Parmesan Crusted Shrimp was to write home about, and the Fruit Platter we ordered from the salad menu was better than any fruit plate ever ordered from any restaurant (superior to any 5 star!)...one more time, the Fruit Platter was the best ever...as good as any fruit personally selected from the best fresh fruit markets.

This place was less than impressive. For the "best" place in BG (according to some locals we asked), I would hate to see the worst. Their menu isn't for anyone looking for taste options. Fried, fried with a side of fried or "we are out". The waiter knew nothing about the menu and didn't even try to pretend. The second star is for the onion rings.

Meh. My cajun chicken sandwich was good, but definitely not worth the 8.49 I believe it was. It was really dark inside, and there didn't seem to be very many vegetarian options. Generally, the music wasn't congruent with the proscribed atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice, and the hanging lamps are high enough that I didn't hit my head on any of them which is always nice. My group, however, still couldn't get over how dark it was in there in the middle of the day.

Love Easy Street! I personally always get a bison burger. Also, you can't go wrong with their onion rings. They are absolutely huge so be warned. It's a great local spot ... and on a weekend you could definitely wait a while for a table. Better than Jed's in my opinion. Also, they do have the world of beers tour which means they have an excellent selection of beer.

Excellent food and a lot of choices! Try the meatball sub. ...it's a huge sandwich and they melt mozzarella cheese all over the top. Their Philly sandwich is also a local favorite. You won't be disappointed with the amount of food served.

Husband had the Easy Street Club. It looked like two foot long sandwiches and was stuffed with meat. He also got a good amount of raw veggies with ranch dip. I ordered the Chicken Cabernet salad minus the bleu cheese. Wow! Lots of chopped chicken, whole pecans, diced apple and craisins. Cabernet Sauvingon vinaigrette. Delicious. We were impressed with the portion sizes and the atmosphere. Our server was great as well!

When you're looking for good greasy bar food, you have come to the right place. The previous reviews are right. Their portions are HUGE and the food is just Traditional and bland. Basically everything was put in the fryer tastes like grease. I got Chicken Pesto sandwich and it had so much butter on the bread that the sandwich broke apart. Limited parking but waitress was nice.

I used to go to Easystreet a good deal when I first moved to the area. However, I found it fell out of favor pretty quickly once I got to the know the other restaurants, and while I still stop by every once in a while, I'd rate it as decent but not great. They have a large menu, but I've generally gone for the apps and sandwiches. To be honest, not a lot stands out, either good or bad. They have all the staples-Reuben, Philly, grilled cheese, burgers, etc-and they are almost all pretty average. If you do go, the best of the lot is probably the French onion steak, something of a deluxe french dip. The Easystreet dog was also kind of fun, although I'm usually not looking to eat a hot dog when I go out to a restaurant. The apps have tended more toward underwhelming. The black bean dip is bland and the onion rings, which are massive, taste primarily like fried dough. I've never had issues with bad service, and the restaurant is usually pretty pleasant. The customer base seems to be a bit on the older side for a college town. However, some of the two person tables are quite small and the aisles are narrow, so it can feel a bit cramped for a small party. Overall, there is nothing wrong with the place, but there are better options in downtown BG.

Easystreet is very middle of the road; hence, 3 stars. It is a great lunch location in Bowling Green. The location is great from campus (only a short walk away). It can be crowded at times. Food is merely okay. Nothing outstanding, but not terrible. I usually order sandwiches. I can't even remember all the things I've tried, but that says something - there is nothing "to write home about". Service is very inconsistent. I've waited at the door for the hostess on several occasions when the restaurant is not crowded. At the table, you usually end up waiting to order for longer than necessary. Most people at Easystreet are regulars. I feel that the waitresses assume this much and usually not too helpful. Oh, well... When in BG it's worth a shot, but don't get too excited. It's a decent place for casual lunches near campus.

I have driven by easy street multiple times and never ventured inside to eat. Well today was the day. The atmosphere is wonderful with tin ceilings, wood work, and and fan system that is pretty unique. Now on to the food. To start will with we went with onion rings. They are huge and delicious! I am more of a onion string guy but these tickled my taste buds the right way. Plus, you get enough ranch for a small army. For lunch I got the French steak sandwich. It was cooked perfectly (medium) and had cheese* melted over the top. WOW!!!! I highly recommend this. If you order this and don't like it you might as well move to canada;) So you ask, why 4 stars? Well the coleslaw that came with the sandwich was lacking. It was either prepackaged from GFS (boooo) or the chef needs to change the recipie. Go, try it out, and enjoy! *I substituted the cheese on the menu for mozzarella (I would recommend that change)

I've missed Easystreet every day since I graduated from Bowling Green State University in December 2007. I crave it often and always look forward to the next time I can head back to my alma mater to enjoy the town's best fare. The service at Easystreet is always great, and once I even had the pleasure of successfully exchanging some very famous Dumb & Dumber lines with a server. It went something like this: Me: Uh, what is your soup du jour? Waiter: It's the soup of the day. Me: Mmmm. That sounds good. I'll have that. That one trip alone earns Easystreet 5 stars, but its food is also really, really good, too. My standard meal at Easystreet is french onion soup as a starter, grilled cheese with american on wheat, and fresh cut fries as my meal. I know, I know: grilled cheese at a restaurant. But I swear, it's the best grilled cheese I've ever had, and partnered with the greatest french onion soup known to man and fresh cut fries, it makes for one fantastic meal. Other great menu items include: Apps -- onion rings, fried pickles, fried veggies Sandwiches -- Georgia reuben (turkey, Monterey Jack and cole slaw on whole wheat) burgers, gourmet hot dogs I've never tried anything I didn't like. Sure, it might be glorified bar food, but glorious it is!

I just live Easystreet. A great atmosphere! I love there sandwiches. A favorite of mine for lunch. I love the Turkey Philly! I must say I hate their fries. They are gross. They need better fries. I usually get the potato salad or coleslaw as a side. This place is nice. Go for a nice lunch or dinner.

Ok, this is the Best of the BG places, hands down. Service is excellent but there can be a wait for a table. That should tell you something. Easy Street Chicken, Santiago, fried or fresh veggie platters, buffalo burgers are among our favorites. Salads are great. Entrees are good. Can't go wrong here!!!

Great place to eat. Small local and fun. Great burgers and food. The sauted chicken with rice is amzing and I get that everytime. I am a hall a foam member which is a great way to be etched in history of BG. You have to complete all 100 domestic and imported beers they have to get your name etched on big plaquw, free t-shirt, and you get a big 64 onze mug you can refill for half price. Sambe's is good but its more for the business folk and suburb type consumers. Easy Street give you that city feel to it.

Ranch dressing - nothing is more quintessentially midwest than this in my mind, other than oversized portions and eating until you're sick. Evidently Easystreet is known for theirs, and our BGSU alum friend took us out on New Years day to see if it was still as good as she remembered it. Service was fine - a little bit on the slow side to get started but ok once we got going - it's definitely darker inside that you might expect due to all of the wood, but I didn't feel like I was eating in a cave or anything. Food was decent, probably a little better than we expected, everyone got a sandwich or burger, but their fresh cut fries were a bit of a disappointment after the side our friends ordered came out soggy with grease and undercooked. Sadly, that left them with little to dip into their ranch dressing, which the server would not sell us in bulk mind you. The look on her face said it all - "how was your food?" we asked...."ok" she said with little enthusiasm....sometime things change....but she'll always have those great college memories.

Easystreet has pros and cons, as I suppose every restaurant does. The look of the establishment presents a very antiquated atmosphere from the stained glass to the belt-driven ceiling fans. It does provide a darker dining experience than usual, but I don't necessarily find that much of a problem. The lamps provide plenty of light to see your party and dinner. A big drawback is the waiting area. On Friday, it was cramped in a little amount of time and the management tried to force people upstairs to "Grumpy Dave's" bar to clear room for servers. The downstairs bar was full already and people started getting estimates of an hour wait. The host seemed new to the job, as I was able to understand what parties were next to be seated better than he. The dining spaces themselves, too, are a bit cramped. The tables used in the booth area have very long feet, and it was difficult to maneuver my legs in the booth. Are waitress did an OK job with the service. She was polite, but only somewhat attentive and just did the job she was hired to do. I can understand: it's a busy Friday night, you're not out to win any awards, and just want a paycheck. It happens to the best of us. We ordered potato skins for an appetizer, but I wasn't really impressed. There was no flavor to the potato, as if they just nuked it in a microwave. However, my order of the Easystreet Philly was very good. I saw signs of the cooks actually sauteing the bell peppers and it seemed they used thinly sliced roast beef instead of rib-eye. That makes for a really savory Philly cheese steak, believe it or not. When I think about my overall experience with the restaurant, I don't dislike it. In fact, I would go back again. I would just have to find a time to beat the crowd and ask for a table, instead of a booth.

This is a great place to eat! There is an extensive menu and prices are fair and they have specials for both lunch and dinner. I think that I have had most of the items on the menu at one time or another and 99% were fabulous. I love the onion soup, bison burgers, Cabernet Chicken Salad and the Black Angus Sirloin steak. If you are in BG, check it out. It is busy most nights and you may have a short wait for a table (there are usually some open seats at the bar that you can use if you are in a hurry), but you won't be disappointed!
